Child Protection Statement.
Children and young people have the right to protection from neglect and from physical, emotional and sexual abuse. If we become aware that a child or young person’s welfare is at risk, we will take certain action . Apart from exceptional circumstances this will involve sharing our concern with the child’s carer or parent. We will then contact Social Services, who in turn are required to investigate the situation . We will make, and keep, clear and accurate records of the events and concerns which have led to a referral. In all child protection work the well-being of the child is paramount.

We treat all families and individuals with respect as to their race, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, age, family structure, religion, culture and class, mental and physical ability. We aim to be unprejudiced towards everybody and to actively deal with any discrimination that occurs.
