Theatre in Education

Good Theatre in Education provides a fun, interactive  learning experience, that is useful.

In primary schools and nurseries, children’s natural imaginative curiosity is engaged and up to 150 children suspend disbelief and travel with us into a world where “goodies”, with the help of the children, help innocent characters to make positive choices and “baddies” see the error of their ways or end up disadvantaged themselves.

In secondary schools and youth clubs KINN has taken the decision to use the medium of forum theatre to facilitate the young audience making the material contained in the play, relevant to them and their life styles.

KINN works extensively in schools and other places where young people and families meet in East Sussex. We provide high quality plays and workshops that help children and young people to focus on how they can effect change and make positive choices,

Children watching our plays, in turn become health messengers, thereby encouraging whole families to adopt healthy lifestyles.

KINN works in partnership with local agencies including PCTs, LEA and ESFRS to ensure our productions are relevant and helpful to children, families and other professionals.

Our productions are closely linked to schools’ curriculum and the “Every Child Matters”  agenda.
